Mindfulness and Compassion Professional Training Program

This online program is designed for professionals and volunteers working in health, long-term and palliative care. It is suitable for anyone in a caregiving role who wishes to sustain their well-being, prevent burnout and moral distress, and enliven how they offer care.

Yana Retreat

The Yana (Young Adult Nature Awareness) Retreat is a lively antidote for anyone ages 18-35 looking for a place in nature to step away from stress and into a deeper connection with oneself, a group of like-minded others, and the earth. It’s way more than a Mindfulness Retreat.

Retreats, Courses, and Practice Resources

We offer day-long events, retreats, webinars, and evening classes online and in-person at Sarana Springs near Owen Sound, ON. We also have a Mindfulness Practice Library with practice resources and recordings to encourage your mindfulness and compassion skills.

Sarana means “refuge” in Pali, the language of the Buddha. It is both an inner state and an outer place that connects us to our wholeness and creates peace and ease. Finding a source of refuge, like our sitting practice, inspires strength and compassion, and reveals our interconnectedness.
