Two free new mindfulness programs to choose from with Sarana Institute.

 

These programs have been designed to support those in the healthcare and caregiving fields. These courses are suitable for any level of practice and are excellent for anyone who wants to kick start a daily practice.

You can choose to take both the 5 Week Mindfulness Course and participate in the 21 Day Mindfulness Challenge, or you can participate in either program individually to suit your needs.

 

5 Week Mindfulness Course

May 31st – June 28th

 

  • Five weekly 75-minute online (Zoom) sessions with (Rev.) Andrew Blake and Andrea Taylor
    • Monday, May 31st – Monday June 28th, 7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. EDT
  • Free registration (offerings of dana are welcome)
  • Each session will generally consist of:
    • 20-25 minute introduction and presentation on a particular theme
    • 20 minute practice
    • 20-25 minute sharing circle discussion
    • 10 minute closing practice and dedication of merit

21 Day Mindfulness Challenge

July 5th – July 26th

 

This is an opportunity to build your mindfulness practice within a supportive community. 21 days is sometimes considered the length of time it takes to rewire or change a pattern. Choose how long you will practice each day and commit to an everyday practice.

In this 5 week program, you can choose to participate in a challenge to practice every day for 21 days. You choose the length of time, with guided or no guided practices.

  • Beginning Monday, July 5th from 7-9pm for a two-hour online facilitated practice session and sharing council.
  • Ending Monday, July 26th with a two-hour online facilitated practice session and closing council.
  • From Tuesday, July 6 to Sunday, July 25, participants can practice on their own at their chosen time or may join unguided 20-30 minute sessions hosted by Andrew or Andrea (times TBA).

5 Week Course Dates

This course runs from 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm ET on the following dates:

Week 1 - An Introduction to Mindfulness: Intention and Presence on Monday May 31st

Week 2 - Everyday Mindfulness on Monday June 7th


Week 3 - Skills of Mindfulness
on Monday June 14th

Week 4 - The Foundations of Mindfulness on Monday June 21st

Week 5 - Relational Mindfulness and Compassion on Monday June 28th
